Rest and relaxation are so important.
And, if you've been around here for any amount of time, this probably isn't the first time you've heard me say that. However, I saw a quote the other day by Dr. Dalton-Smith that said something to the effect of, "...it's not enough to KNOW we need to rest, we have to actually DO it."
So in the spirit of that, I thought I'd share with you a few of MY favorite ways to relax and rest:
Here are 3 of my favorite ways to relax
1. Taking a bath. I love to add bubbles and/or epsom salt, set the mood with a star machine, and list to 528hz music. Obviously, I usually have a crystal (or 5) with me.
2. Walking. For me, walking is a lot of things - including a way to rest. "Walking as rest??" you might say... "seems like work, to me!" And you're right, AND walking is a great way to decompress when you're feeling stressed or frustrated. Hence, rest.
3.
Crystal meditation. Or just holding a crystal. Or just being around crystals (
especially ones that are known to be great for relaxation). In addition to their energetic properties, crystals are often visually appealing, which can help to create a sense of calm. If we already love crystals, being around them can also support feelings of peace and safety, like having an old friend nearby.
Regardless of how you choose to relax know that, every time you do, you are supporting your body, mind, and spirit. Relaxation has proven health and wellness benefits - it's not just a luxury (and never was).
