Raise Your Vibration

This week in our live sale, we featured a number of crystals that are known as "high vibrational" stones - but what does that even mean? And why would you want them - or, why would you want to be "high vibration" (and what does THAT even mean anymore - am I right??)?

What are high vibration crystals?

Related to crystals, "high vibration" generally means that they vibrate at a higher frequency - or energy, or rate - when compared with other crystals. These crystals are often (but not always) lighter in color: clear, white, light pink... They often have a lighter energy, support the crown chakra, and are associated with things like universal love, higher consciousness, and connection to the divine.

Are you being "high vibe"? 

Related to people, we often hear that you should "raise your vibration" or that you might want to be "high vibe." Since we associate "high vibe" with positive feelings: love, joy, peace, etc., this has fueled the misconception that, in order to manifest your desires or create a beautiful life for yourself, you have to be "blissfully happy" at all times. This is simply not true.

The truth is, of course, that life is multifaceted and that ALL feelings are both valid and necessary, for all of us here having a human experience. It's simply not realistic (or healthy) to be happy all of the time - although it's beneficial to choose to feel positive feelings more often than negative ones.

Getting back to high vibrational crystals and why you might want to incorporate them into your collection, whether they are there for healing, or simply because you enjoy how they look:

Crystals for feeling good

High vibrational crystals can support us in accessing higher-vibration feelings: the ones I mentioned earlier, as well as feelings such as gratitude and joy. When we choose these feelings, we often have the experience of feeling lighter, brighter, more open, and more available to receive more of the things that make us feel these ways, in the first place. So if you desire to feel these "higher vibrational" feelings more often, you may wish to work with a crystal that includes these properties.

Of course, just like anything, working with a high vibrational stone won't guarantee that you feel good all of the time. It's also not going to force you to only feel the good feelings - we wouldn't that, really, anyway.

You can think of it as a lift or a boost. We don't instantly go from dark and doomy to merry and bright - and (again): we don't have to. That's not required. We work with crystals to upgrade our overall energy and state, bit by bit. Piece by piece.

Moment by moment. And before you know it, one day you'll look back - and notice that so much has shifted for you.

Crystals can help you to access those feelings, by reminding you that they are available. By giving you a physical touchpoint to anchor to. And by gently influencing your energetic field with their own energy.

And we don't want to talk about high vibrational stones, without featuring at least one opposite: Black tourmaline is a grounding stone and it's great to have around when you work with higher-energy crystals, in case they start to feel intense or if you begin to feel ungrounded or a bit spacey. You can use the tourmaline to re-ground yourself: hold it in your hand. Feel its weight. Feel yourself getting weighty and connected with the earth. Let yourself ease back into groundedness, maybe even for 5-10 minutes, before you get up.

Crystals for raising your vibration 

Here are four "high vibration" crystals you may want to try - and, of course, our grounding stone, black tourmaline: 

Apophyllite 

Apophyllite is a stone of spiritual connection and energy; clearing and releasing of negative emotions; and is said to help soothe anxiety or frayed nerves. It is also a stone of change.

Apophyllite is one of my all-time favorite crystals. It was the first large stone I invested in and is always one I'm searching for gorgeous specimens of.

Hackmanite

One of the more unique crystals we have on the table this week is uv-active hackmanite. Hackmanite is a high-frequency stone that supports your crown chakra, intuition, and universal connection. It is said to be helpful with problem solving, energetic cord cutting, and spiritual development. Hackmanite is also said to be a stone that supports awareness, perception, and deep meditation.

You wouldn't know by looking at it: but under uv light, the purple in hackmanite glows a beautiful orange-pink...which intensifies, the longer you keep the uv light on it.

Druzy Danburite 

Danburite is a stone of unconditional love, happiness, self acceptance, and giving. It is said to have a high, pure vibration which can help you connect to and enhance your spirituality. This stone of divine connection supports the heart chakra, as well as your mind.

These pieces feature a sparkly covering of druzy quartz - which makes them truly magical. These rare pieces are so much better in person: the true sparkle on these is so difficult to show with photos/videos.

Clear Quartz 

Primarily, clear quartz is used as an amplifier – it can amplify the properties of other stones. Quartz is also easily programmable: When you set your intentions for the stone, it can help to amplify that energy, whether it be for abundance, love, or peace. In ancient times, quartz was thought to be water that was so deeply frozen that it became permanently crystallized. Quartz is another must-have crystal.

Black Tourmaline 

Black tourmaline is a "heavy" stone: it's weighty and can help to really get you connected with the Earth. It is also said to be a very protective stone. When I have a hard time winding down from the day and can't sleep, I'll grab one of these and it helps me ground almost instantly, so I can fall asleep.

Black tourmaline is an ideal addition for everyone's collection.
